Unable to remove device from midi setup

Whenever I get a FaceTime call the default audio input is set to "Microsoft Teams" and the default remains my speakers or AirPods (if I have them in) and I want it to default to the microphone on my MacBook Air or AirPods (but generally the MacBook Air).

I have tried to uninstall Microsoft Teams but the issue persists.

I have opened Audio MIDI Setup, but the Microsoft Teams input cannot be removed with the "-" button at the bottom of the selection interface.

Surely there is a way to remove the audio input, or tell FaceTime to default to the correct input, and I don't have to just erase my computer?
