FIXED: Home Invites not received in email.

Tried multiple times to send invite to my daughter to join my Home. Grok to the rescue. Shame on you Apple for not telling me where the invite was going.

Verify Invitation in the Home App on Her Device:

• Have your daughter open the Home app on her iPhone or iPad.

• Tap the More button (three dots in the upper-right corner).

• Select Home Settings.

• Look under the Invitations section for any pending invites.

• If present, she can tap View, then Accept, followed by Done.

That would be this section of Share control of your home - Apple Support:

Accept an invitation to control a home

Open the Home app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
Tap or click the More button.
Select Home Settings.
Select View under Invitations.
Select Accept, then Done.

When you accept an invitation, your Apple Account name and profile photo will be used to suggest you as a user on devices in the home, such as Apple TV.

The average user is not going to read, just like they don’t read their vehicle’s owner manual. There should at least be a pop-up telling the user what to do. Invitations by adding a family member’s email suggests the invite will go to their Apple email account. This is so unlike Apple.

Agree with Pegasus. Given all the posts throughout the internet over the years about this exact problem, you’d think at least one explanation of how simple a fix this is would have been posted by Apple by now. Thanks Pegz!
