Will Messages for Mac get the spam filtering Messages for IOS has?

Messages on my iphone filters my spam messages so I don't have to see them, but Messages on the mac shows them mixed in with my non-spam messages. I don't see any settings in the mac version of Messages to filter these.

Seems on the face of it that there should be no technical reason why the mac version can't filter in the same manner that my phone can. Does anyone know how to make Messages on the mac not show spam?
