Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping on iPhone 15 Pro after iOS 18.6.1 update

I updated my iPhone 15 pro to 18.6.1 last week and the WiFi connection keeps falling out. Even though it should at least have 2 bars. My iPad Pro 6 gen with iOS 18.6 having 2 bars and is at the same location and same distance from the router as the IPhone.

It can’t even see the router name on the IPhone but IPad is connected to that same network with 2 bars, this don’t not make any sense.

To get connection again i have to move closer to the router and sometimes manual reconnect with the router.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.

It surely is not iOS 18.6.1 because...

I conducted a thorough search of this forum using the term 'WiFi after iOS' and uncovered numerous posts detailing similar issues across various iOS updates. This suggests that iOS updates may not consistently be the root cause. Below are a handful of examples extracted from the search results:

Thanks for your help, but as i write in the post I have the IPad on the same router with 2 bars. When the IPad have 2 bars on the WiFi icon, the IPhone can’t even see the WiFi network. But the strange thing is that network name under connections on the phone comes and goes. Maybe the antenna on the iPad is better so the connection also is more stabel on the iPad.

Thanks for your answer. Here is my comments on this.

This is the only thing that have changed so that’s why I point on the update. I could be wrong but the new update made it worse. It’s very unstable and maybe I can’t compare a connection with a iPad that have a better antenna. I am getting a WiFi repeater next month so maybe that will solve my issues.

I am not sure what you mean by this. I did my best explaining how and what is wrong.

No it’s not jailbroken and have never been. Didn’t even think it was possible on new Iphones.

My settings have not changed since last update. Side note: I use the official silicone cover with Magsafe.

I only backup my phone data in iCloud, and that happens automatically.
