HomePod defaults from current settings

Almost every time I use my HomePod now it's like it has reset. I turn it on and instead of continuing from the playlist or podcast that was on it goes to "Sure. Here's some music picked just for you". Not only that but it's is configured to play through all HomePods when it starts and it will only play from the one, and its "speaking voice" is as loud as it can get. I then go to the right playlist, have it start playing through all speakers again, and telling it to speak as quiet as possible and it could be good for a week or I could turn it back on in an hour and it happens all over. It's very frustrating the settings do not stay applied, any insights?
