A quick way to print selected text from any source

I have been wanting to print a selection of text for ages. Mostly to extract from threaded emails. There was once I see an app that could do it, but it has fallen out of use.

So, I created an Automator workflow to do it for me. A link to mine is here:

Or develop your own using Automator. I strongly recommend the pauses as that has allowed it to work on all the Macs I have deployed it on.

Create a new file in Automator that is a Quick Action. Then create the workflow here:

It doesn't seem to play brilliantly with multiple printers, but give it a go.

And when you are ready to use it, select your text, two-finger or right-click the text, choose the services menu and choose Print Text Selection, or whatever you called it.
