How do I get my specific printer icon into the dock AND WORK in Sequoia 15.6

How do I get my specific printer icon into the dock AND WORK in Sequoia 15.6  I get the icon there, but then when I click on it I get an error message when I try to use the icon (for instance to get to the scanner function

directly).  The error message says"The operation couldn't be completed. 

(WFBackgroundShortcutRunner-ErrorDomain error 0.) This occurs both on my Macbook Air 2025 M-4 and my MacbookPro 2023 M-2. Thanks,
