I airdropped a video
from
macbook air (early 2015)Monterey, 12.6.1
to both iphone 16e and ipad mini 5th gen, both ios 18.6
the video works, but no sound? It is an MPEG-4 movie, reocrding from many years ago. It plays perfectly on the Macbook Air.
it works on a different video. any ideas? Can I convert it if that would help?

I don't understand the world at all. I just went to clean out my deleted video (what initiated this post) that I'd received in my phone via Bluetooth, that had arrived without audio. Lo and behold, the audio is there. Can someone explain this to me so that I understand the process for future use? Is a time delay normal?
Try to play it with IINA which plays almost every codec.
You might also check the video and audio codecs with MediaInfo or Invisor.
