Need clarity on replacement logic; Apple Watch Series 7 Cellular + GPS
I’ve got a Watch, Series 7 (Cellular + GPS, stainless steel), out of warranty. Backlight is dim/flickering, and the authorised service centre says replacement is the only option, ₹48,000. They’ll replace it with the same Series 7.
Does this make sense when a brand-new SE is ~₹30k? If I’m paying ₹48k, shouldn’t I at least have the option of a latest variant instead of a 3-year-old model? I’m willing to pay, but I want it to be fair. Has anyone here dealt with this; any workarounds, upgrade options, or tips before I sink nearly the price of a new Watch into an old one?
Thankyou!!!
