Can't Delete Clips!

I messed up the importing of clips . . . I'm confused about what I did but I tried importing from the card and also copied the contents of the card to the SSD. . . . just can't remember the processes I went through.

Anyway I have ended up with 3 clips which are duplicated in the Browser . . . 63, 70 and 71.

All 3 are present and OK but their duplicates show as offline.

So it should just be a simple matter of deleting them but when I try to do that I get the wheel of death and have to Force Quit FCP.

I have deleted the preferences but still can't delete them.

Any ideas?

I have opened up the Library in the Finder and manually deleted the offending clips but they still appeared in the project even after numerous pref deletes.

The only way I have been able to get rid of them is to Hide them.

Deleting in the Finder doesn’t update the Library database. Only makes the clips offline. The camera icons in the lower left of those clips indicate they did not finish copying over to FCP. You should be able to insert the original camera card and reimport them.
