Calendar app missing from CarPlay after iOS 18.6 update.

Contacted Apple Support and tried a lot of redundant troubleshooting (check settings, toggle on/off, privacy/allowed, restart device, forget device,..etc), but nothing worked.

It was working before, but after the iOS 18.6 update, there was a Calendar event that should have shown up when I got in the car to leave, but it didn't notify me and that's when I realized the Calendar app wasn't even listed. Been using CarPlay for years and never experienced this before.

Update:

Calendar app is still missing from CarPlay after iOS 26.0.1 update.

Plus, every time I use Siri to make a handsfree call, it uses the iPhone speaker instead of the infotainment system via CarPlay, so I have to take my eyes off the road and fumble around trying to switch it.

This is absolutely ridiculous. The issues never end and it's extremely frustrating.

And still no support for Apple Maps EV Routing either. I've had (4) EV's now over 8 years and none of them supported it.

What is the point of this and CarPlay if none of the EV manufacturers will support it, even though the majority of drivers probably use an iPhone.
