Mail version 16 mail doesn't send, or create drafts

I get an error message: Mail wants to sign using key "Imported Private Key" in your keychain. It doesn't accept the password and when I try to trouble shoot it doesn't give me specific information. I have multiple emails and aliases in iCloud as well as comcast.net. I am running Sequoia 15.6.
