Using Satellite service for messaging in a remote off cellular service
- I'm heading for a camping trip in northern Ontario with no cell service and just want to be able to let my wife know where I am and all is good.. and for emergency purposes if needed
- However, in the instructions it says: "you need to turn on iMessage before you’re outside of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage." which is fine as I'm getting there...
- But my question is can I turn my phone off once I don't have cellular service? Or do I have to keep my phone on all the time? Just not clear to me... I do turn off my phone at night when going to sleep...
