Handoff with Messages not working as expected

Hi.

I use handoff a lot in my work and there’s only one place where it’s not working as expected, Messages. When I start a message on, let say my iPhone and want to hand it off to my Mac or iPad, the app opens in the right conversation, but any of the text I typed on my first device is copied to the new one. Other apps like Mail, are working properly. Any idea? I’m using all the latest updates of IOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS 15.
