Group Photos in an Album by Date range with Date Range Headers

I have a temporary holding album in which I have photos from dates spread over a few years.

I already have albums for each month of each year. I want to drag the appropriate photos from my temporary album into these. But I have to Get Info all the time to try to figure out where the photos for a given month begin and end. Surely there has to be a way to get Photos to group images under month headings. I tried to create a smart album but it was no different. And I tied assigning a keyword to the photos so I could see them in Library view without all my other photos but once you have a search going in Library mode, it won't give you the date headings.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much. m

I'm not sure quite what the problem is. Here is a Smart Album that would work:

This finds all the pictures created in July that are in an album I have have called "Last 45 Days," but, because I don't curate it as often as I should, has pictures from maybe the last 6 months. In any case, you can see that I have 96 pictures between 7/1/2025 and 7/31/2025.

How does this not work for you?
