Apple Watch Ultra 1 locking itself during open water swimming

When using ultra 1 for open water swimming it locks itself. Is there any option to prevent it?

The Water Lock is enabled automatically as soon as the Watch is submerged or a swimming workout is started.

I don't mean water lock. How I am supposed to track my open water workout if the display is off?

Do you have „Wake on Wrist Raise“ enabled in the settings for Display&Brightness? If I turn my wrist under water, the display comes on.
