It appears that "Homie" is an application window - perhaps blank because the app has not been setup.
You should be able to close that window by clicking the title and then click the red 'close' button in the top left corner of the window.
You should also be able to 'Quit' the Homie application just like any other.
As @Owl-53 has indicated, you can check to see if the app is configured to load at startup. If it is on the list at System Settings > General > Login Items & Extensions, you may remove it from that list.
If this is something you don't recall downloading, and likely aren't using, feel free to delete the app from the Applications folder. If you decide later that it's something you might like to use, download it again from the App Store.

Where are you seeing the name "Homie"?
Have you had this Mac long?
It sounds like something one might see if a Mac wasn't prepped correctly for sale.

You may also try shutting down the computer using the Power Button
Restart in Safe Mode.
If using a Bluetooth Keyboard with Rechargeable Battery - Cable the Keyboard to computer for this unique purpose. Bluetooth Kernel may not load soon enough to execute the 2 keyboard commands
The closest I can get to Homie would be " Home "

"Homie" is an open window that appears on the desktop at startup. No content, noting upon which to click, no dark text to highlight.
3.8 GHz... typo on my part.
Thanks Owl-53. None of my HomePods are named anything close to Homie. And I thought it very curious, the slang nature of the word "Homie".
I may have figured this out. There's an app entitled "Homie". Not something that I can click and open, it runs in the back ground apparently.
