How do I fix old messages displaying first on iPhone after iOS 18.6 update

Hi All,

After upgrading my iPhone to iOS 18.6 my old messages, received years ago, are appearing on the top of the list in Messages as received at the time when iPhone was last turned on. If I open any old message it also appears as beeing received at the time it was last viewed. This make a complete mess with the order of messages, when messages received lately get lost somewhere in the middle of the list, which is frustrating.

Tried to find a solution on the web. Switching on/off iMessages and automatic timezone didn't help. I failed to find any other solution or additional settings which may help with the issue.

Any other options except backing up and complete restoring of iPhone recommended in other threads?
