MacBook Air 13.5 maps how do i show multiple favorite pinned locations

I want to make maps that will show multiple locations but not with directions, for example all my friends' homes, or stores I want to shop at. I can't figure out how. It's so frustrating when I can't find instructions on how to do something relatively simple.
