Apple Music not syncing to iPod Classic (5th generation)

I am attempting to sync songs from my Apple Music library to a 5th gen iPod Classic using my Mac. I am using macOS Sequoia 15.6. When I use the iPod section in Finder to sync my music, the loading bar flashes for a moment, before appearing as it does in the attached screenshot. Upon ejecting and disconnecting the iPod, none of my music has been loaded onto the device. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance!

If you mean the Apple Music subscription service, you cannot add that music to an iPod Classic.

To be very clear;

Apple Music - the subscription service. You pay a monthly fee for access too Apple's vast library of music.
iPod Classic - looks like the one shown below:

Check your sync selections on the Music tab shown there. See also Corrupt iPod Classic - Apple Community. What are your HDD stats? As noted any content that comes from the Apple Music subscription service, or is currently in the cloud, cannot be synced to an iPod classic.
