Apple News Crossword resets, bugs out, disappears, and generally malfunctions

This is an ongoing issue with the News app on my desktop (2025 Mac Studio M4 Max, running Sequioa 15.6)

I'll being the crossword, and about 50% of the time, either the screen goes blank so I have to go back to the Puzzles page, at which point the puzzle has reset to some random point in the past (but the timer is still ticking), or if I leave the puzzle (i.e. to step away to take a call), when I return and click back into it, the crossword went back to the beginning, not having sync'd any of my answers.

Then today, the puzzle 'reset' itself 4 times! I completed it, then closed it to do a Sudoku, and upon returning to the Puzzle page, saw that the crossword wasn't complete. It reset to the very beginning (but of course the timer was still ticking)

Obviously this isn't how the app is supposed to work.

Anyone have a similar issue? Or suggestions on how to fix.

I'm having a few issues too after upgrading to 15.6, like some clicks not registering (or registering somewhere else on the screen) within an Arcade app. Also, Safari Tabs fails to show the X to close the tab when my mouse moves over it; this is not too big of an issue, just an inconvenience and annoyance since it did not do it before 15.6 - a minor update and something you would not expect to be broken.

I still have a Mac mini 2018 (Intel processor), so I was not sure if issues were only on Intel-based Macs.
