Screen mirroring persists after disconnecting external monitor on macOS

When the external monitor is disconnected, the system continues to operate in “screen mirroring” mode. This can cause issues in certain scenarios—especially when the primary display is supposed to change its resolution. For example, in specific modes where the main screen switches to a different resolution, disconnecting the second display does not revert the resolution back to its original state as expected.
