As stated in the provided link, to restore a previous in-app purchase, try the steps here:

You might be able to restore a non-consumable purchase, such as an upgrade to a pro version, an extra feature in a game, or a subscription:

  1. Open the app that you used to buy the item.
  2. Look for an option to restore. You might find it in the app’s store, main menu, Settings menu, or Options menu.

If you are unable to find that option in the app, then contact the App Developer for assistance in restoring your previously purchased subscription as they are they ones that have to acknowledge the subscription when using their app.

I only have one Apple ID because it was used. I contacted the app developer and received instructions to delete and reinstall the app, then restore it. However, they asked me to pay again, which my credit card has already been charged for. They are now asking me to provide my Apple ID and password, which I am uncomfortable doing. Is there another way you can track the credit card date and time I provided in my earlier email? I feel like I am being taken advantage of because Apple told me to contact the developer, and now I am being asked about my Apple information. Please help resolve this issue. This issue must have occurred before because I paid my subscription, but I cannot use the app because it keeps asking me to pay again. This is deceptive practice for both Apple and the app developer.

Thank you,

Marcus

The 2 questions that have not been answered are, did you previously request a refund for that subscription, and did you change regions? If you did, that would explain why you would no longer have access to the subscription. This is the third time asking about changing regions, as it is directly relevant to your issue.

Your proof of the purchase comes from your Purchase History provided by Apple. That along with the subscription page you posted earlier. The screenshot of your bank charge is irrelevant because it does not show what you purchased, that is what you will find here:

No you would not give them your Apple ID/Password and should not purchase it again. Give them your Purchase History from above and your Subscription page that you provided. That is all the proof they need. The Developer is the only one that can resolve the problem to gain access to your subscription, which is why you would be directed to them by Apple. If you continue to not get a resolution from the Developer and have not changed regions or previously requested a refund for it, then you have these options:

  • Write a review for the app in the App Store with your experience. Not only will this let other users aware, but will get the developers attention much more since others are able to see the problem you had and may have an impact on their sales.
  • Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, and under "I'd like to", choose the option to report an app Quality Problem. Apple won't be able to resolve your subscription problem, but with enough complaints from users, the app will be pulled from the store.

Yes, I requested refund, it was denied so, I had to pay it. I have not changed my Apple ID. Please explain the meaning of the “region change”? If it means changing address or location, the answer is no.

Thank you for providing links to more information. Writing a review should no be used as a tool for developers to do right,

but if that is the case, I am willing to do.

In my opinion if Apple is responsible from App Store to sell the product and collect my

credit card, then they should step up and resolve the issue since Apple has access to all information. Customer should not be in the middle to be played as the ping pong.

Thank you!

Contact Apple directly here. The refund request is the reason why the subscription was cancelled. With it being denied, you should be entitled to the subscription you paid for. Let us know what Apple says. Be clear when speaking to Apple that you requested a refund and it was denied, but you should still be entitled to the remaining subscription. The lack of important information like that makes the solution more difficult to obtain and causes further delays.
