I am unable to connect my iMac to a different Wi-Fi network

I gave me adult son my iMac and had him added as a user but he is at a different address and he is not able to connect to wifi. What should he do to connect to his wifi from my iMac that I gave him. I did not bring my iMac to factory settings, I had him added as a user

What happens when he tries to connect exactly?

He should just need to click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menu bar, and select his Wi-Fi network from the list. Then enter his password.

To be honest, it is not a real good idea to just give your Mac to your son without setting it up for him correctly. Setting up a user account is one way IF you are sharing the computer. However, you said you are giving him the computer so please do things correctly or both you and he will have a mess on your hands. Please carefully follow the steps in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac. If you do not do this, the computer will ALWAYS be tied to your AppleID which is NOT good.
