MacBook Pro freezes when naming the title of my individual photos in Photos app

Ever since updating to Sequoia 15.5 my Photo App on my 2019 Macbook Pro Freezes while attempting to name the Title of my individual Photos and erases anything I try to type and replaces it with "Looking for Titles..."

In my profession I need to upload 100s of photos a day and individually name them or "title" them so the title appears when I convert them to a Contact Sheet.

This new update has completely hamstrung me and rendered the functionality of titling photos useless.

I attempted to uncheck Siri Suggestions under System Settings->Spotlight and it did not work.

Emphasizing what Yer_Man said: To avoid damaging the Photos Library an external drive must be formatted in either APFS format or Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. The drive must be connected directly to the Mac by cable, not networked, clouded, NASed, etc. Additionally, the drive can not have had Time Machine on it since it was formatted. There have been so many problems with using incompatible drives that the newest macOSs won't even allow a Library on a non-Mac formatted drive to open, since there is a chance of damaging the Photos database. See this:

If this drive is in a an incompatible format, stop running Photos with it immediately!  A Photos Library can sit on an incompatible drive, but running it may corrupt the database.

And, I want to let you know that I use Titles on nearly every picture in my several Photos Library, and that are no problems with that at all. And by the way, I use Photos Workbench ($30) to batch add titles-- in case you need that.
