Hiking workout should show downhill elevation as well

I track a lot of hikes, and it bugs me that my Apple Watch does not show the elevation I lost on my descent. Often times I hike up to a cabin or some other place where I take a longer break at the highest point and stop my training at that point. When I start my descent, I start a new hiking training, which continuously shows 0m elevation gain which is absolutely useless.

Also on hikes where there is a lot up and down, I would like to see both the elevation gained and elevation descended.

Please enable this at least as an advanced setting for hikes to add both elevation changes up and down to my hiking workout.

Thank you
