How to block unsolicited messages from non-contacts on iPhone?

Guys & Girls,

Ever since I donated to a political party, I have been receiving unsolicited messages on my iPhone account. Sometimes as many has 20 a day. Is there a way to configure settings to only accept messages from those addresses in my Contacts application?

Thanks, Phil

I found entering STOP, or Stop, or Stop2End or whatever is indicated (exactly) at the end does stop only from that candidate, but somewhere there is a master list that gets handed out to new politicians and causes. So they never completely go away.

I submitted a bug report

Product Feedback - Apple

asking that these messages from non-contacts appear only in the Unknown Senders and not also in my known senders box. I thought only known senders appeared in that box, but that is not what happens, the unknowns are in both places which is not nice and which makes it harder to ignore the Unknowns.
