Ask to Buy Notifications not working - Resolved

When I added "Ask to Buy" to my sons phone, I wasnt getting the notifications to my phone. I tried the usual responses - turning both phones off, changing the name of the devices, checking the contact cards matched etc. None of that worked.


Turns out iMessage on my phone was set to only receive messages to the phone number, not the apple ID (so Apps / Messages / Send & Recieve and tick the apple ID). Ticking the apple ID sorted it straight out - its obviously sending to the apple ID as part of the notification.


Maybe obvious, but given I've not seen that solve anywhere on here, thought I'd add it in case it helped anyone else!
