How do I close the open windows on my MacBook Air I am technology challenged

You can click on the red bubble with an x on the top left corner to close a window. This will close a specific window, but the app the window belongs to, will remain open.


If you want to close an app entirely. go to the app's name on the menu bar, and click on Quit "app name".
