Difficulty purchasing a single song on Apple Music App for MacBook Pro

I just want to purchase ONE song. Why is this so difficult on Apple? I'm using my MacBook Pro. I only buy music from before our current president took office. I want my own, not what AI selects for me. Plus, when I select 'support' it takes me to "There was a temporary problem with your request. The requested resource was not found."

Original Title: I want to buy ONE song on Apple. Why is this so hard? There isn't even a search option now. I'm using the Music App on my MacBook Pro. On top of that, I keep getting a message that my 'post could not be saved. Please try again in a few moments.'

Obviously I wasn't clear in my original post. I open the Apple Music app on my MacBook Pro. I select 'iTunes Store.' There is no 'search' option and the only thing I can do is scroll thru the music Apple wants me to buy. If I go to 'contact support,' within the Music app, it takes me to a page that says 'There was a temporary problem. . .'


I have tried restarting my laptop.


I just want my OWN collection of music.

  • The app is in the sidebar on my MacBook Pro. But, when I click on the app and it opens, I have 'iTunes Music' on the left. I click on that and it takes me to the Apple's Music, but I cannot search for one song, album or artist. The search is missing. In addition, when I click on "support' from the box on the right side labeled 'Music Quick Links,' it takes me to a non-existent site.

It might be easier to find the music on a CD and upload it. Apple is making it very difficult to be a non-subscriber to Apple Music.

Also, the vast majority of music in my personal library is from Apple. This is a new problem. I didn't have this issue last week.

The Search is at the top of the side bar.

Enter a search term there, and then select iTunes Store from the tabs on the right side.



If there are no tabs at the top right click on the < (below the play button) to go back to the main search results. You may need to do so more than once.


The Support link under Music Quick Links should take you to Subscriptions and Billing - Official Apple Support
