iPad screen is displaying only a white box on a black screen.

Hi everyone! My wife went to use her iPad today and couldn’t get it to turn on at all, she had used it the day before. The screen was slightly lighting up but I had to take it into a dark room to fully see what was on the screen.

The top white box goes into the bottom and then back out. It will do this 5 times before turning back off. I’ve tried a forced reset multiple times with the last try giving me an wonky looking Apple logo (last picture). Any help would be amazing, thanks in advance!

My guess is that your iPad has some issues with firmware, since the LCD is not working but the micro-LED backlit is working. Try to restore it with an computer.

If a forced restart fails to clear the problem, you would be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad.

Attempting to restore your iPad, when you cannot see and respond to on-screen prompts, might be a bad idea - as you potentially run the risk of creating additional problems if the restore process should fail for any reason.
