New Feature: Send Message Later! (Answer/How-To)
I’ve seen a lot of complaints on here re: not being able to schedule a text to send later to android users, but the replies were locked on all of them. So I figured I’d create a new thread in case anyone is still seeking answers! It’s not as easy as doing via iMessage, but is now possible nonetheless!
- Open the “Shortcuts” app
- Hit the “Automation” button at the bottom of the screen
- Hit the “+” in the upper right corner
- Hit “Time of Day” and choose the time you’d like to send it (Unfortunately, you have to pick a frequency with which it’s repeated, either Daily Weekly or Monthly, so I just set it to monthly and figure I’ll just shut it off afterwards) and pick whether you want to be asked for confirmation before it’s sent or if you want it to happen fully automatically
- Select “Nee Blank Automation”
- Select Send Message
- Click “Message” and either paste or type the body of the message
- Click “Recipients” and select who you’re sending it to
- Click “Done” in the upper right corner
And BAM! I was super excited about this new feature, and wanted to make sure everyone knew about it. Now if only we can keep listening to YouTube while using other apps.. although I guess they have to sell those Premium subs somehow 😖
