My friend's iPhone is lost, and the "Find My" app somehow got disabled. A couple of days ago, I could normally spot him on the app.
He had been actively using the phone throughout the day, only losing it around 6 p.m., but "Find My" only showed yesterday's location and has a loading icon.

Hi, this could be due to a number of things
My first guess could be that the iphone was powered off or ran out of battery or could be manually shut down. That way it will not update.
Also it could be that the phone is offline meaning it is in aeroplane mode or has no network connection.
Also the find my feature could be disabled on her phone which stops the tracking immediately.
My final guess which is highly unlikely is that her sim card could be removed.
Try asking your friend to retrace her steps and hopefully you find it.
