Scan Text feature in Notes App won't scan entire page, focuses on random paragraphs or sentences only.

I've tried to use Scan Text more than a dozen times in the last 365 days (2024-25) and on my iPad Air5 the Scan Text feature has only worked correctly once , very briefly.

If I interrupt the scan by navigating to a different app or to "control center," Scan Text goes completely unresponsive, even after I stop and once again tap the "paperclip dropdown".  I have to close+re-open Notes app to just get the autofocus frame (yellow corners) to appear again. 

 Then Scan Text auto-focus continues to jump around to random individual paragraphs or small individual captions / text.

Notes App "Scan Text" (paperclip dropdown) feature has a focus problem- Text recognition won't scan full doc, jumps around to small segments.

I've tried all sorts of documents  - all of them with very clear, large, and legible typeface.

I think partly it struggles with continuity for documents with columns and breaks, but it still doesn't work properly when it's just one single simple block of text on one clearly printed page.

I mentioned this in a live Apple Support conversation a few months ago, but I didn't have more than 30 mins to sit and troubleshoot with an agent who had no clue what I was talking about.
