Child exploitation! Requested refund for in app purchase due to child exploitation in the chat

I requested a refund of purchases I made in game after someone stated they were “selling minors” from Asia, they gave their contact info and if you try to report them the report button does absolutely nothing. The developer is based in Korea, and they do not respond to emails. I spoke with Apple support regarding both issues and they say there is nothing they can do. I have screenshots that I provided and absolutely refuse to financially support a company that will allow this in their app. What happens if I do a chargeback?

Contact the FBI for any child exploitation concerns. It will be up to them if there is enough "proof" there to investigate further. Apple works with law enforcement for investigations and if they have any information that can be provided, they will make it available to them.
Write a review for the app on the App Store to let other potential users aware of your experience.
You can still go to reportaproblem.apple.com, and report the app for illegal content. They can and do remove apps from the App Store for violations to the App Guidelines. Last year there were over 82,000 apps removed.

As for the chargeback, it is likely that you will need to add a different payment method for future purchases. Not sure if it will affect your Apple Account status, as that is at Apple's discretion and not something we could factually say one way or another.
In most cases, all transactions in the App Store are final as you agreed to in the Terms of Use, but at times Apple may provide a compassionate refund on a case by case basis. We have no idea what criteria they use in those cases.
