External portable monitor not working with usb type C with M4 pro

I have 2 macbooks, M1 pro and M4 pro

For my M4 pro, my external monitor doesn't work with only usb type c cable. Power is sent but video not, needs an HDMI cable to work.

But my M1 pro work well with the same monitor and same usb type c cable.

Why my M4 pro doesn't work as M1 pro?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.6

Because the M4 uses USB-4, and your display does not cooperate correctly.

The fix is for the display-maker change its its firmware to work properly over one USB-4 cable.
