Lost notes and contacts after iPhone replacement via insurance

My iPhone went haywire and was shutting down continually saying it had 0% battery then coming back on with the actual battery reading.

After going back and forth with the apple verified repair shop we decided to send it via insurance who replaced it.

When I signed in on the iCloud it has lost all of my notes and a lot of my contacts although the messages on WhatsApp are still there.

I have tried to sign into my iCloud account on a laptop but it is not registering any notes and doesn’t seem to have updates available from the beginning of June when the phone started misbehaving.

Can anyone help please??
