Does AppleCareOne extend AppleCare ?

I have AppleCare+ on three devices I bought last year, so I have one year remaining on that coverage. If I upgrade these three devices to AppleCare One now, does that extend my current coverage another year, or does it replace the coverage on my three covered devices with cheaper coverage and thus I get a refund?
