Contacts not synced on Mac

I just recently got an MacBook Air, and after I setup the MacBook, I realized that the contacts aren’t synced.

I signed in to the same Apple account and iCloud on both my iPhone and MacBook, and both of them are updated to the latest version.

Contact for iCloud is on, but somehow there isn’t any option for iCloud in the default account setting

also, when I checked the contact app on my phone, it shows that all my contacts are saved in iCloud, but when I check it ok my Mac, there isn’t any contact saved for iCloud

I’ve tried turning off iCloud for contact on both devices and open back up, restarting both device, and I did reach out to apple support too but they couldn’t help.

its frustrating to see all phone numbers instead of their name in iMessage, hope someone have an idea of what’s happening and help!!
