Water-damaged MacBook displaying 'Disk Broken' error

I was working on my computer and suddenly it closed and when I tried to open it this screens pops up. Earlier in the morning some water was poured on it but not a lot and it was working fine. also when I click the disk it just restarts and shows this screen again. lastly it says continue holding to show startup options but I don’t click anythingWhat should I do?

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple


Outside the USA

Contact Apple Support - Apple Support



If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

To improve my understanding of the phenomenon, it would be highly beneficial if you could share a full screenshot (Do not crop it). Visual representations carry a greater impact than written descriptions.


Please remember that this is a public forum, so when attaching a screenshot, please avoid including any personal credentials such as IP addresses, card details, email IDs, Apple IDs, IMEI numbers, serial numbers, phone numbers, order IDs, or any identifiable location information if you are sharing a map.
