Icloud photo syncing between devices

My icloud photos don't sync between my devices. I have enough icloud storage, it says last synced moments ago but none of the photos are on my MacBook. I am signed into the same apple ID account and can't seem to figure out why they aren't syncing.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

This could happen for a number of reasons, make sure you are connected to wifi or have a stable cellular connection. Turn off any active focus and low power mode. Trouble shoot a bit by closing down the app or restartning your Macbook and other devices.
