Q1. "Sudden partial double screen displays on MacBook Air M4 silicon: I found this question that was posted back in 2020 with a resolution for Intel based system but the response was no resolution for a silicon based system.[...]
A1. What the link to this post your speak of? Intem and M-Based Mac were both released that year.
Reinstall the macOS:
Q2. "The issue is I'm working on my MacBook Air M4, Sequoia 15.5 and a horizontal duplicate screen appears randomly above my current screen. I have no idea what causes it."
A2. By "randomly", are you saying it is intermittent? Or does this occur only in certain circumstances(i.e. when a certain app is open? Eitherwayou may wan to backup your Mac to an external hard drive, and then reinstall the macOS. Nothing would be deleted; it's just that damaged system miles would be replaced, and missing files would be relocated back to were they should be). With the backup, you will have something to restore it from, should anything go wrong after this reinstall.
Report this to Apple:
Q3. "I also had this on my previous M2 and M3 MacBook Airs. Any update for a solution for the silicon notebooks. Turning it off and back on is a pain. thank you."
A3. Do your Part: Inform Apple of your feedback. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback thy receive from its users, the more likely they will know what issue are out these, and what fixes to include in updates to come.
