Can’t find hubby with Find My

i can't see my hubby's location on Find My. We've stopped sharing location with each other, then added each other back, and restarted our phones. One user reported that that she solved a similar problem by removing an old phone from “the list”. Anyone know what “list” she could be referencing? Any other suggestions to make this work?
