MacBook Air M2 Randomly Shutting Down – Issue Still Not Resolved After Multiple Repairs

I’m facing repeated issues with my MacBook Air M2 (16GB RAM, 256GB SSD). It randomly shuts down or crashes without warning — sometimes while in use, sometimes even when idle.

My case:

  • Purchased in: [December, 2024]
  • AppleCare+ is active
  • Already visited Apple Service Center 4 times but not resolved
  • Motherboard replaced, but the problem is still there
  • Apple Diagnostics show no issues

Troubleshooting I have tried:

  • Reinstalled macOS (clean install)
  • Checked in Safe Mode (still shuts down randomly)
  • Minimal apps installed

OS Info:

macOS version: 15.5 (24F74)

Despite multiple attempts and escalations to Apple Support, the issue is not resolved. I’ve also submitted a complaint at https://consumerhelpline.gov.in after months of inconvenience.

Is anyone else facing a similar issue with the M2 MacBook Air? Any possible solution or official escalation route that actually helps?

That is the second time today where I've seen a Kernel Panic regarding "AOP", but yours is a bit different. Here is the other thread where you can see my response:

I see that you are a programmer. Could your programming be causing these Kernel Panics? If you can reproduce the Kernel Panics regularly especially with a clean install (see my linked reply in the other thread), then you should open a support ticket with Apple and escalate it so a higher level tech support agent or engineer who understand Kernel Panics can assist you.

You can also run the third party app EtreCheck and post the complete report here so we can examine it for possible clues. Many times Kernel Panics are caused by third party software with the usual culprits being anti-virus software, cleaning/optimizer apps, and third party security software.....none of which are needed on a Mac.

If you search for AOP Kernel Panics on this forum, you will find multiple hits going back a few years for both M-series Macs and iPhones.
