Retrieving lost playlists, and accessing all music in Apple Music app

I lost most functionality when Apple moved from iTunes to the Music app. I need help in retrieving the playlists I lost, deleting duplicates (almost every entry is duplicated or sometimes triple or more), and accessing all my music from Music (instead of often required to go through Finder because Music Search cannot find the item).

I just changed from using iTunes 7 to Music on Sequoia. I ended up having to rebuild my entire library from my music files and rebuild my playlists from memory. Presumably (but I am not certain) Apple had an automatic way of transitioning from iTunes to Music back when the change first happened, but I am guessing that was removed in later versions because it was presumed you were well-behaved and only ever ran current software.

The Dougscripts web site has various apps for doing things on iTunes and Music, including helping with duplicates. However, there are different kinds of duplicates and for the few that I encounter I always just look at them myself to make sure it is a true duplicate entry pointing to the same file and not two versions of the same song.
