online rummikub lost my score

Logging on with a bookmark to Rummikub on gamedistribution.com has erased my score. My players name is also gone. What is going on?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.7

Hi.

If you're logging in through a bookmark, it’s possible the site didn’t save your progress due to cookies being cleared or the game not syncing with an account.

Make sure you’re logged into the same account or profile you originally used. If the game doesn’t require an account, progress is usually saved locally so clearing browser data, switching devices, or using incognito/private mode can wipe your score and name.

Unfortunately if there’s no cloud save or login feature, there’s no way to recover the old data.

Edit: Just to clarify, my reply refers to the website version, not the Apple Arcade game.

Is it best to register your email address? I did register my email address two years ago, but they kept losing my scores. It didn’t seem to matter. The site seems glitchy at times as the tiles become sticky slowing down progress during my turn. This makes me want to delete history in order to clear glitches. Maybe I just need to go into Utilities and run first aid? IDK 🤷‍♀️ thank you for the guidance and help.
