Flagging sent emails for follow-up in Apple Mail

Is there a way to flag an email that I have sent for follow-up? Sorry, this may be a dumb question, but I’m not able to figure out if this can be done.

Thank you in advance.

Reply to, forward, or follow up on emails in Mail on Mac

Get reminded to follow up on emails with no response

If you send a message and don’t receive a response in 3 days, the sent email automatically resurfaces to the top of your inbox to help you remember to follow up.

  1. Go to the Mail app  on your Mac.
  2. Do either of the following:
    • To ignore a follow-up suggestion, swipe left on the message in the message list.
    • To turn this feature on or off, choose Mail > Settings, click General, then select or deselect the checkbox next to Follow Up Suggestions.
