A nostalgic idea that could make Apple Music even more alive
Hello Apple Music team,
I’m a huge fan of the service I use it daily and truly appreciate the sound quality, the design, and the overall experience. But I wanted to share an idea that I believe could bring something really special to the platform.
There’s something truly magical about the sound of a vinyl record spinning. The soft crackles, the gentle hiss of the needle, that warm analog texture, it’s nostalgic, emotional, and deeply human. It brings music to life in a way that feels intimate and real.
That got me thinking: what if Apple Music introduced a “Vinyl Mode”?
A setting that gently adds those analog details the needle drop, surface noise, a little warmth recreating that timeless feeling of listening to a record. Something subtle and refined, not overwhelming, just enough to touch the soul.
This isn’t just a gimmick. It’s a layer of emotional depth that many people deeply miss in the digital age. And truthfully, I believe only Apple could do this right, with your attention to detail, sound design, and ability to turn simple ideas into iconic experiences.
It would be more than a feature, it would be a feeling.
A celebration of music’s past, brought into the present with elegance.
Thank you so much for listening, and for continuing to shape how we experience music. I genuinely believe this could become one of those small Apple touches that people never forget.
Warm regards,
Stefan Della Costa
