my watch is SE 2nd gen and my iPhone is 15 pro. I have set up find my phone on the iPhone. The watch is paired to the iPhone but in the find devices app it has the message ‘no Apple devices found to locate’
How can I fix this please

Did you check, if in the Settings for Privacy & Security -> Location Services -> Apple Watch Find Devices, Find Items, Find People are enabled?
On the watch, enable Settings/Location Services/ -> Find my network

on the phone ‘share my location’ and ‘find my phone’ is on
on the watch ‘location services’ is on but ‘share my location’ is off and won’t turn on.
Also, ‘find my network’ isn’t visible

Thank you very much for trying to assist. As nothing seems to be working I won’t take up any more of your time. (I’m in my late 70’s. I’ve been using smart phones for the last 15 years but this is my first smart watch so I’m not very good with it).

Did you already try to force restart your iPhone and Apple Watch? This can cure some software related glitches.

To force restart your watch, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
If you tap on your watch on your iPhone in Settings/Your Name/Apple Account/ -> your watch, is the option "Find My Watch" enabled? If yes, tap on the blue link "Show in Find My", which should take you to a map, showing your watch and it's location.
Any restrictions set up on the iPhone which keep you from changing account information or settings?
Not that I am aware of.

Yes, the watch is listed in the above settings
Forgot to mention: not sure about others locating me but phone calls and messages come thru (the watch is cellular). I have been having trouble answering calls lately though.
