Issues with 'Block Sender' and 'Send To Trash' in Sequoia on MacBook Pro

Hey Guys, Im using Sequoia with my MBP. I have two questions and I really hope someone can help me out with some suggestions to solve the problems, as I am pulling my hair out trying to find a solution.

1) "Block Sender" - I receive a lot of spam each day. I have been using the "Block Sender" feature for a while now with some success. I have though noticed that some senders can not be blocked, as when you go to the address and click on the "Block Sender" the red "Blocked" sign does not appear. Does anyone have an idea of why that is? To clarify its not just one address that this is happening with, its like two out of say twenty that come in each day, so it can not be that the address is saved or whatever they call it.

2) "Send To Trash" - Is there any way to make blocked sender emails go into the Trash Folder? Yes, I have changed the settings to do this, but for some reason this doesnt seem to work, and they just land up in the Junk Folder. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've Googled both of the above before troubling everyone but I can't find a solution.

Thanks in advance.

David
